Description

The security sales solutions engineer is responsible for actively driving and managing the technology and evaluation stage of the sales process, working in conjunction with our security Account Executives, as the key technical advisor. Responsible for advising on overall project requirements including plan analysis, review of plan specifications, and customer site visits. Duties include being a trusted technical advisor, project estimating, design, proposal preparation and identification of material and equipment requirements.

What youll do with Our Training and Your Experience

  • In-depth analysis of plans, functional specifications and site visits in order to determine and advise on overall project requirements.
  • Support the system sales team(s) by preparing technical estimates and quotes for each project utilizing estimation software tool. Respond to customer requests for information including the completion of RFIs and RFPs.
  • This role is based in our Miramar, FL CTC and is not a remote position.
  • Understand requirements and articulate the value proposition of CTC products and services to customer.
  • Provide input, review and coordination of the preparation of shop drawings and wiring diagrams, based on project plans and specifications for completeness, showing location of devices, equipment, wiring, etc.
  • Advise Account Executives and Operations Colleagues regarding products needed for installation, implementation strategies, comparing material costs across vendors and manufacturers.
  • May prepare and/or review formal submittal booklets, containing schematics, and technical literature as necessary to support each contract.
  • Develop solutions that meet customer requirements and work closely with sales team to develop customer implementation plans as part of sales proposals.
  • Work with technology product partners to determine the best technical solution to ensure we are offering the best solution set for the customer.

What Youll Need

  • Exceptional customer focus and ability to work under pressure; ability to maintain awareness of and seek to meet the needs and wants of the customer without being prompted.
  • Experience in working with and configurating security integration systems, such as access control, intercom, intrusion and video management systems.
  • Basic knowledge of engineering principles and practices related to computer networks and building electronic security systems.
  • Must be a self-starter and work well without supervision
  • Strong verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proficient computer skills including MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Proven track record of being able to coordinate with multiple parties on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proven experience with Genetec, Milestone, Lenel, Axis, Hanwha and similar product partners is a plus.

Requirements:

Education: Associates degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

Minimum Experience: 3+ years of previous Sales, engineering, and/or account management experience.

Preferred Experience: (but not required) Technical experience with a wide variety of Security System Manufacturers. For example; Lenel, Softwarehouse, Genetec, S2, RS2, Milestone, Avigilon, Axis, Hanwha, Panasonic, etc. Basic working knowledge of computer networks and principles is preferred.
